The New York Times has an interesting feature analyzing inaugural addresses.

An interactive tool displays and visually ranks the most common words in each presidential inaugural address in US history. This is a common method for determining what the common themes are in a piece of work, and as such it captures both a moment in time and the style of a particular president.
