Thanks for the chuckle.
I guess that goes right to the heart of my recent post about geo-engineering. The value of having engineers is that they focus on accomplishing a mission. But in that focus, they sometimes fail to consider unintended consequences. Or they assume that they can engineer their way out of those consequences.
On the other hand, scientists are sometimes so busy worrying about theoretical possibilities that they lose track of the goal.
We need them both, of course, including their "madness."
