An earth tremor hit Melbourne at approxiamtely 9.15 pm Melbourne time today, Friday March 6 2009 reports came in from Upwey, Essendon and Philip Island of a large earth tremor lasting for approximately 15 seconds. No reports of injuries or damage have been received yet. did you feel this earth tremour?

Hi, we're near Eildon, and felt it at 8:55pm. I counted 20 seconds from the start, and it moved furniture very slightly.

Yes, my wife and I were watching TV when we heard a shaking/scratching noise at the back window, and then felt the whole house shake for just a few seconds (it's a weatherboard house). Quite an experience!
