Those voices: the truth

Wow, you're a good writer. And you seem sharp. But here's the truth: As absolutely real as they seem, the voices are generated by your own brain in a weird sort of feedback loop/crossed wires kind of way.

You know how your heart can have flutters, your liver can go wonky or your vision blurred? Well, your brain is just another organ that can sometimes get a bit off track.

You're not a nutter, but you need to talk to a shrink or your doctor. Here's why: There are terrific medicines and therapies out there that can help get your brain back to equilibrium. But the longer you wait the longer it'll take to set things straight.

As for your husband: No, he does not hear the voices. They are in your own head, and aren't really audible in the true sense. In other words, even if you held up a microphone to your ears and recorded everything what you hear, the voices aren't going to show up. It's more about electrical and chemical signals in your head getting a bit off track.

Go see a doc. You'll be glad you did.
