another thought-
equality does not mean being the same- it means equal opportunity. But it seems to me that the feminist movement has overshot. if I were a woman who envied the male position in society, and I wanted to take that position by emulating men and by being what they are, then what should I do? What are the male traits that make them men? That depends on who you ask. Feminist women today are steeped in a culture that reinforces negative stereotypes about men. We just "know" that they have a natural tendency to be irresponsible cheaters, drunkards, oppressive wife beaters, etc. Responsible family men are the exception and only exist because they have been properly trained by a strong woman - housebroken, so to speak. This is apparent when you take a critical look at the "alpha" females emerging in our society. They only emulate those traits of men with which they are familiar. The no-strings sexual adventures, binge drinking, and aggressive, often violent behavior - oh, and the Cougar. Seriously now, if you want to emulate a man, why would you not emulate the good traits of men? Why would you not include honor, self sacrifice, determination, responsibility, and courage in your list of manly traits? These traits are there- but they are downplayed in the feminist movement and therefore not part of what modern women think it is to be a man.
Of course, you could also try to be a good woman. why would that not be a valid goal?
