43 yr old man and 22 yr old woman isn't even worth noticing.

Now, try 60+ man and 21 year old woman - a customer (60+) at a coffee shop I worked at was telling a story and at one point he said, "my friend who is retired in his 60s just married a 21 year old girl" and I burst out laughing (I was 32 at the time) and he looked at me crossly and asked what's so funny? I just walked away shaking my head and thinking, that old guy better have no heart problems!

And this is in response to the girl who was saying "old bitch" and that we are all jealous -- I'm 47 now (two months older than my husband) and, like Monica Belluci and Sophie Marceau (well, not quite, but I'm still somewhat hot), have more than enough guys of all ages leering at me, so I know age isn't the only factor in how attractive you are, to men at least. What I HAVE noticed in the past 8 or so years is that many (not all) younger women (30 and under) have this really fucked-up attitude about older women, and here's the proof that it IS in their head, not mine: when I was hired for this job, they main "clique" of women thought I was their ages (roughly 24 - 30). I was actually 37 but have always looked way younger. After a few months here, during which time I was treated fine and had a normal social situation, the subject came up and I naively told them my age; I thought they would actually think it was a GOOD thing that you could stay attractive and youthful even going into your 40s, and instead they all dropped me. They literally walked by my office and looked at me but said nothing when they got together to go for coffee. I was stunned and have since heard from other women in late 30s and 40s that many younger women are like fanatical about keeping anyone whose birth certificate says born before 1975 OUT. It's very cruel -- when I was in my 20s and worked somewhere, if all the women went out dancing and clubbing together, that meant ALL the women - from 18 yr olds to 50. (The women older than 50 were invited too but probably thought we were all wacko!) I have rarely if ever felt excluded by men, it's always women who did it -- where is the hostility coming from? I've never done anything malicious to a younger woman so why are they so ready to attack and yell cougar or old bitch or whatever else -- (I guess MILF is supposed to be a compliment not insult)? And some of these women are quite attractive so I don't see what their issue is, I'm not threatening to take anything away from them, if anything the media is always pushing how younger women are after our (middle age women) husbands. I just don't like being judged and excluded because of a number on a birth certificate -- and that's the whole issue here: you can't judge someone solely by the year on their birth certificate.
