About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,

So gorillas and apes and most monkeys have strong brows, thin lips, lower cheek bones, small asses and particularly well developed upper bodies. They're also covered in fur (which is straight). Meanwhile, Africans generally have relatively weak brows, thicker lips, high cheekbones, larger posteriors, and particularly well developed lower bodies. They have kinky, tightly coiled hair. Few would challenge my description of the 'typical African' which -- puts them quite far from apes physically. Yet somehow people continue to find a way to associate them with apes.
Angry, stupid white men will come to this sight and try and justify linking blacks with apes using of arcane evolutionary arguments, but at its root their arguments are just attempts to justify their blatant hatred of blacks. Blacks are no dumber than whites, regardless of IQ tests. I can say that because I know IQ tests to be bullshit. I say this as a man whose IQ has fluctuated 20 points in 15 years.
Consider that black women are 5 times as likely to have genius IQs as black men. Also consider that the gene that supposedly controls variation in IQ the most is located on the Y chromosome.
Consider that blacks have IQs a standard deviation away from whites as adults, but nearly IDENTICAL IQs as toddlers.
Fact is IQ doesn't tell you jack shit until 115 and can't safely place anyone past 150. So essentially, IQ gives you a decent idea of how smart 15% of the population is. That's it.
I already know what you're thinking: Deerrr, but what about Africa? Why is it so bad?
