Out of 95 active-duty Astronauts in the US, not many actually get the chance to go into orbit. There are as few as one shuttle mission per year, three or four at best. Astronaut Clayton C. Anderson has earned himself quite a distinction: in 2007, he spent 5 months in space aboard the International Space Station.
