NASA Employees Abusing Government Credit Cards

May 5, 2008 by kb

Video games and iPods, among other things, have been purchased by NASA employees abusing their government-issued credit cards, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Internal investigations have for years uncovered similar problems within NASA, which has long been criticized for poor financial management, even as the agency has pleaded with Congress for billions of dollars to fuel new manned missions into space.

"We should be outraged. Everybody should be," said U.S. Rep. Nick Lampson, D-Stafford, whose district includes Johnson Space Center. "Clearly we have not done enough."

I think that nasa should only permit that employees waste money on what they need. They should cancel their credit cards. If they use it alot it causes other normal people to pay more taxes.

This is why the government should not be in charge of ANYTHING. If these organizations were run like a business, we could be doing so much more on half of what we spend. We should send them the bill. Typical liberals!
