I was a bit skeptical about ordering the Schwinn 213 Recumbent Exercise Bike knowing I would need to assemble the product. The instructions and parts packaging were incredible! All of the parts were sequentially packaged corresponding with the steps from the instruction book. The instructions were clear and very easy to read. The best part of this purchasing experience is that the bike is easy to operate, comfortable, and very quiet. I highly recommend the Schwinn 213 recumbent bike to anyone looking to begin an exercise program or that already has a regular routine.
A great bike for the money December 14, 2007

My husband and I bought this bike after doing a lot of research and trying a bunch of different bikes in sports stores. We are very happy that we went with the Schwinn 213. We put it together in about a half hour (the directions were pretty clear). It feels nice and solid and has many features that you see on more expensive bikes. The seat and back support is also more comfortable than many other bikes. We both use the bike several times a week and have had no problems so far. We're very happy with our purchase.

I recently purchased this bike as a Christmas present for my wife and I from another store because it was on sale, $420 with shipping. I received it yesterday and as other reviewers mentioned, it took about 2.5 hours to put together. But we absolutely love this bike. I purchased Schwinn because of its warranty, 10 years frame, 1 year parts, and also because of a review listed on this website www.exerciseequipmentexpert.com that called this the best recumbant bike under $500. Although we have used this bike for only a day, I can tell that we will be very happy with this purchase.

I am very pleased with this excercise bike. I recieved it quickly and the box looked good with no external damage. When I opened it and started assembly I realized that the adjustable foot on the rear stabilizer was broken. I got on the phone and called the Schwinn 1-800 number. The rep "Karen" on the other end of the phone just needed a copy of my proof of purchase email from amazon. I sent this and she promptly ordered a replacment part for me. I went ahead and assembled the bike with the part I had and everything worked great. I like the programs built in to the computer and so far no other problems. I would definitely buy it again. BTW the new part showed up in about a week.
213 Recumbent a good choice December 2, 2007

Product came within two weeks; no problems with shipping--all was intact. Instructions were easy enough for me to put together while husband was away. It took me about 2 hours to have it up and running. br / br /It's an excellent bike. My only negative observations are the fan is useless as you can't feel anything from it. It would also be nice if the monitor tilted just a little. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the bike and if I stick with it, next time I'll probably get a updated model which handles the items I've mentioned above.
