Does this proverb ring a bell? Look at how America forbids Musharaf to declare the state of emergency while at the same time urges him to fight terrosrism. A sure way to have him toppled.
And all in the name of democracy. All reasons given are very sound and honourable. You wouldn’t change a thing if your aim is to have a new fanatic regime governing Pakistan. And then you can declare that regime part of the AXIS OF EVIL and wage war on it. The americans have a term for that: “dejaa vuuuu all over again”. Will you give it a rest!
Why not search other avenues to reach acceptable solutions? This attitude of “Either with us or against us” is childish. Maybe the way is not “Our way”, just another way.
Doesn’t it seem very wasteful, in lives and property, that every time the civilized world wants to stop the activities of a terrorist camp it has to invade whole countries? Camps cost a lot of money, follow the money trail and close the faucet. Is there anyone out there that does not want us to follow the money?
This approach was used and results were obtained. It’s cheating your own constituents and those of other democratic countries not to reveal these funding sources and to continue to pour lives and money into the inferno of war. Here’s a thought: “The people of the planet hereby give you their blessings that, whenever you suspect that a certain transfer of money is destined to terrosrist activities, you have our authorization to seize this money and give it to UNESCO, MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES or other benevolent and aid organization”.
