Matching patient’s molecular profile with current evidence on targeted anticancer therapy

Investigators of the Melanoma Molecular Map Project (MMMP, www.mmmp.org) have proposed a new databank entitled “TARGETED THERAPY DATABASE-TTD” along with a method to match the patient’s molecular profile with the available evidence on targeted anti-melanoma therapy.
Both the database and the algorithm for the profile matching are freely available at the following address:

http://www.mmmp.org/MMMP/import.mmmp?page=targetedtherapydatabase.mmmp

I found this initiative extremely interesting as it might represent the template for similar databanks dedicated to other diseases !

cheers
William

  1. The Targeted Therapy Database (TTD) has been recently complemented with the TARGETED THERAPY ANALYZER (TTA), a computational tool for the automated analysis of the data collected in the TTD.
The TTA enables users to easily implement the algorithms necessary to summarize the literature data and to match the tumor/patient molecular profile with the available evidence on the molecularly targeted therapy of melanoma.
You can find both tools on the Melanoma Molecular Map Project website (www.mmmp.org).
