This is my first blog at this blog site. I happened to find the site when I added new stuff to my Google personal homepage. It should be an ideal place to blog my daily life in sciences, keeping record of the papers read, taking notes of some strange ideas etc. And now, I am a PhD candidate in Bioinformatics and Genomics, at Beijing Genomics Institute, BGI. My research interests include Alternative Splicing, System biology, Prion, and Transcriptome. But I do not know the relationship between this blog site and Science Magazine. Maybe somebody here know about it?
ScienceBlog.com has no paywalls, no sponsored content, and no agenda beyond getting the science right. Every story here is written to inform, not to impress an advertiser or push a point of view.
Good science journalism takes time — reading the papers, checking the claims, finding researchers who can put findings in context. We do that work because we think it matters.
