Investigation on Information Literacy Education in Medical Colleges

Abstract: Based on the “Information literacy competency indicator system for medical students” initially established by the Institute of Medical Information, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, field research and questionnaire survey on information literacy education in over ten medical colleges was carried out. The investigation showed that medical information literacy education research should be strengthened. Moreover, medical information literacy education model should be improved. In addition, information literacy competency indicator system for medical students should be established and modified.
