\nof the storm-eye,
\nlens-prayers seek
\nproven witness \u2013
\nhunger-thoughts spilling
\nover into green hearts,
\nto snatch bright wings
\nfrom shattered skies.
\nHere, in the still-morn
\nthey bait their prey,
\ncalling down air-wraiths
\nfrom their roosts of
\nflesh-turned-words.
\nVein-roads trampled
\nbeneath image quests,
\nas night-hunters
\nonce cloaked in moon-glint
\nprostrate before the
\nceaseless hum
\nof the bright-box \u2013
\ndevoid of life
