Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics (IPM) in Iran announced that professor Stephen Hawking is on the way of visiting in Iran. According to published news. He will go to Iran, in the end of June. He will have some scientific speeches and maybe some official meeting with Iranian scientists and scientific authority.
IPM (http://www.ipm.ac.ir) is one of leading institute of Iran that very active in theoretical physics and mathematics, cognitive sciences, computer sciences and Nano sciences and also scientific project. IPM now worked on Iran National Observatory (INO2)
Because of current situation of Iran this travel may have more achievement than simple scientific visit.
