A semi hiatus

I enjoy spouting off political issues relating to science, and apparently a number of readers find what I have to say interesting, entertaining, exasperating, or readable for some other reason. So why have I been so quiet lately?

Simply put, I need to focus on the kind of writing that pays my bills, my science books for young readers, my school visits, and my science book reviews for major metropolitan newspapers.

I’ll be posting blog entries about those topics here from time to time, but unless something political really gets this scientist’s attention in the next three months or so, I’ll be limiting my opinions on such topics to conversations with family, friends, and neighbors.

In the meantime, if you want to contact me, follow the e-mail link at my children’s science web site. Just don’t try to tell me why I should vote for Slick Rick Sanctimonyorum in the upcoming U.S. Senate race here in Pennsylvania.
