New books featured at the Science Shelf

I haven’t been blogging much lately, because I’ve been too busy finishing the first draft of a book on 20th century physics and then reading a book to review. But now that I have returned to active book reviewing and a less intense book writing schedule, you can expect more frequent blog entries and updates to my Science Shelf book review archive.

The Science Shelf Books Received page lists the latest arrivals at my desk, many of which will be reviewed online at the Science Shelf at a later date.

An excerpt of my review of Bodies We’ve Buried: Inside the National Forensic Academy, the World’s Top CSI Training School by Jarrett Hallcox and Amy Welch with Foreword by Dr. Bill Bass is now available online, with the full review appearing there after publication in the Chicago Sun-Times, probably on January 15, 2006
