…And then there are those who say: “Huh?”

Older people always say: “These are the signs of the end of the world!”. Younger people think: “Has it always been like this?”. Not to seem too pessimistic, the world of today seems to consist of the following people:

There are those who think only about their clan…
There are those who think they are right…
There are those who think they are chosen…
There are those who think they are the best…
There are those who think “my country, right or wrong”…
There are those who blow themselves up, killing children, yet somehow think they’ll end up in paradise…
There are those who slaughter their neighbors with machetes. Young and old…
There are those who arm them, and then look the other way…
There are those who seek power, and then rob their people, since: “everyone does it!”…
There are those who say their prayers, then cheat and steal, since: “if you’re not a wolf, wolves will get you”…
There are also those who hide their tears when they see a young woman, hidden in shame from head to toe in her burka, asking for money, shyly…
There are those who say that burkas are the shame of mankind…
There are those who cannot eat a cake without thinking of starving people…
There are those who’s day is ruined because someone in Wales decided to slaughter a bull afflicted with bovine tuberculosis…
There are those who join NGOs, and try to do good…
There are those who join missionaries, since preaching the word will surely save the world…
There are those just trying to survive…

Funny assortment of people, if it weren’t so tragic.
