[Abstract] The concept of medical informatics has been developing since its inception. Its focus varies a lot in different countries or districts. In this paper, the current situation of medical informatics research in Germany was summarized and analyzed, through investigation via literature and internet, as well as GoPubMed. It was expected to be instructive to the developing of medical informatics in China.
