It appears that I’m not the only one to wonder whether climate change will be an issue in the 2008 U. S. Presidential election.
In an online Newsweek commentary, Eleanor Clift suggests that Al Gore’s expertise and long-term record on the environment will attract voters beyond his liberal Democatic base.
I thought that was worthy of a response, and I sent a letter to the editor pointing out that both religious conservatives and entrepreneurial capitalists may have reasons to support Gore on this issue. I’ll either post a pointer if my letter is published or post the letter itself on this blog in about a week.
