I spent most of my day in the lab, prefaced by putting Fedora Core 3 on my desktop machine at my station so it would actually be useable. I was mainly checking out the bluetooth setup, getting the Palm Pilots working and testing them against the bluetooth access point. Brian explained the setup and showed me some of the programs and the simulator. I’m fairly certain what I am going to try to check into, after I write a new library for servo control, is more or less bypassing the Palms and just using them for their bluetooth access, then having the access point attached to a machine that will do the high level control. This will really cutdown on having to waste time trying to fit the Palm programs into memory, and make the code a lot cleaner.
