Science Blog server upgrade

On Monday evening, Science Blog was Slashdotted for the third time in a week, and the site’s host decided they’d had enough. We are pleased and proud to announce that the site is now successfully relocated to The Machine Works, a Web host with greater capability to handle the growing traffic this site generates. We’d like to apologize to all of you who have had trouble accessing Science Blog over the last 48 hours, and assure you we’ll do all we can to prevent future outages.

Quick Note Before You Read On.

ScienceBlog.com has no paywalls, no sponsored content, and no agenda beyond getting the science right. Every story here is written to inform, not to impress an advertiser or push a point of view.

Good science journalism takes time — reading the papers, checking the claims, finding researchers who can put findings in context. We do that work because we think it matters.

If you find this site useful, consider supporting it with a donation. Even a few dollars a month helps keep the coverage independent and free for everyone.
